The return of the injuries

Just got back from my regular torture session, otherwise known as a sports massage. I get treated by Di, at Room2, who’s hands are like pain seeking missiles.

The diagnosis for this session is that rowing’s still making a mess of my back and shoulders, but its not as bad as it has been, and that my knee is duff. It appears that I’ve damaged my posterior cruciate ligament  and have tight IT bands.

With a weekend of racing at Bedford and the North Cornwall Tor coming up next weekend I’m concerned. I’m definitely not doing the full Cornwall route and may leave it all together and rest the leg depending on how I feel after rowing.

Not what I need! I have been feeling really good and my muscles aren’t aching form any of the training. But there’s nothing you can do for ligaments apart from rest. No miles on the bike this week I think. May take a more detailed look at my bike setup encase there’s any over extension being caused.
