Stratford Regatta

It started out wet and miserable but ended up being a good day. Spent the morning helping out on marshal points and doing tea runs.

The novice double had an outing but unfortunately we were bumped up to S3. We were beaten by a fast crew but at least we rowed a good course in front of the home crowd.

In the afternoon I took to the water again with a scratch S4 crew consisting of Mike, Sandy and our old coach Gav. We had a bye to the semi’s where we beat Warwick. It was a close race but after some initial flapping about we got the boat moving. Unfortunately we couldn’t repeat this for the final and lost out to Bewdley.
