Day 24 – Las enough

I’d always imagined that the strip represented one road and all the casinos were spread along it. In reality everything is spread out and the layout of pavements and casino’s makes it hard to get around (everything is laid out to guide you into the casinos). So we bought an all day ticket for the monorail and set off exploring the various casinos.

The ones that stood out for me were Caesar’s and The Venetian. However after a day of trekking round I found the casino’s a little claustrophobic and just wanted to get back to the hotel and relax.

The evening turned out better. After a gym and pool session we used our complimentary show tickets to see a guy called the Mentalist. It was an entertaining display of mind reading and manipulation including some tricks that I still think couldn’t be possible.

Leaving the hotel we devoured another buffet at the Chinese Star before heading over to Treasure Island for the Siren’s of TI show. We managed to get a good spot but the show wasn’t what I was expecting. I’d been told it was a couple of ships battling; it turned out to be a sound and dance routine (it was well done, I just hate musicals); the sinking ship was pretty cool though.
